Hey Everybody,
My name is Joe. I am a 26 year old artist from Attleboro, Ma. I have my bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Bridgewater State University.
I have been working with stained glass for about three years now. I have to say that I love everything about the medium. I love working with color and light. As a person with a more sculptural mind, I am drawn to the hands-on building of the process and the permanent nature of the piece when I am done.

What I also love are movies. I remember growing up watching Indiana Jones, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Back to the Future, and just being enthralled by them. To this day I can remember every line from those movies.
It wasn't until high school that I suddenly got into horror movies after watching Evil Dead for the first time after school one day. From that day forward I was hooked. I loved the emotion that it brought out of me, making me scared. I loved the wacky, out of this world plot lines that you could only get from horror movies,(such as a little girl being kidnapped by poltergeist through her closet, or a masked psycho coming back from the grave to avenge his murdered mother).

I am also a fan of blood and gore in my films. I respect Greg Nicotero and will seek out the movies he works on.

So I was in college when I learned that I loved stained glass, so I tried to think of a way I could combine my love for stained glass with my love for horror movies. That was when I created the Friday the 13th part 4 piece( see my Stained Glass Album.) After that I did that, then the possibilities were endless. I tried to think of other ideas I could do and why they haven't been done before.
Whenever someone mentions stained glass I think that most people think of churches. They put stained glass up on a pedestal, as if only something sacred could be conveyed with it. But I thought what if you love movies, what if certain movies are sacred to you? Why couldn't those be depicted with stained glass as well? So basically that is what i am trying to do. I am trying to bring stained glass down to an everyday level, as well as elevating movies to a higher level.
I'm just starting out but already i have had many commissioned pieces, including a Friday the 13th part 8 for Kane Hodder (Jason) himself, as well as a black Cadillac for my uncle. You can see both of these pieces in my Stained Glass album.
